Medusas Sighted Near Hawai'i Deadly Aviatrix Gang Seizes Cargo Zep
Last evening, the notorious air-pirate gang, the Medusas, struck a Nation of Hollywood cargo zeppelin en route to the Kingdom of Hawai'i. The Medusas attacked in a daring night-time raid, boarded the zeppelin and captured it. Though the crew have since been recovered, the zeppelin remains in the hands of this fearsome band of sky brigands. The zeppelinthe Hughes-owned Torch of Libertywas carrying only an unarmed skeleton crew, according to Hughes' executive Johnny Johnson. "This was an unprovoked attack," Johnson said, "The Torch of Liberty was carrying a shipment of engine parts, a commercial transaction between our company and the government of Hawai'i. I fail to see what this criminal gang hopes to accomplish with this foolhardy raid." Shortly after Johnson's statements, rumors from anonymous sources within the Hollywood government have begun to circulate, claiming that the Torch of Liberty was in fact carrying a shipment of Hughes Bloodhawks and Firebrands. Hughes representatives have denied knowledge of in any covert sale of warplanes. The discovery of a potential arms deal between Hollywood and Hawai'i could complicate the already delicate political situation in the region. The governments of Pacifica, Hollywood, Japan, and Great Britain are reportedly deep in negotiations with King Kalaniana'ole, concerning control of Pearl Harbor (a well-protected deep-water port of vital interest to several international powers).
